Song of the Day! The Airborne Toxic Event – Changing

The Airborne Toxic Event- Now thats a name I haven’t heard in quite some time. It has been well over two years since TABE saw initial success with their debut self-titled album. Contrary to what the title of their latest single says the band hasn’t done too much Changing. To me it’s the same amazing dependable Airborne Toxic Event that I remember of yesteryear. If their new album, All At Once, is anything like their last then I’m perfectly content with the same old rhythmic rocking these guys (and gal) bring to the table. New album is out April 26th stateside.

EDIT: Video won’t stream through wordpress. Sorry that you have to click the video and watch it on youtube.

Song of the Day! ANR – Big Problem

ANR have a Big Problem from Miami. FL

Oh those fluctuating Oh-oh-Oh-oh-Oh’s; I feel like I just jumped into a time machine set to the late 80’s. ANR, short for Awesome New Republic, bring us their own brand of indie electronic music with the release of their new album Stay Kids, which came out earlier this month. Their lead single ‘Big Problem’ gets me all energized and gives me the urge to get up and jog in place rapidly as though I’m in a workout video. I’m looking forward to exploring the new album and maybe breaking a sweat as I dance relentlessly to whatever sick jams I may find on it.

Song of the Day! Cake – Long Time

Damn straight it’s been a long time since I’ve heard some fresh Cake! 7 years of waiting and finally Cake drops Showroom of Compassion on us. I haven’t had a chance to dig into the album yet but from hearing Sick of You and Long Time, i’m pretty much sold. That awesome signature Cake sound is clearly present but I’m also loving the new style that shows Cake has done something with the last half decade. I just can’t get enough of this awesome jam!

Song of the Day! Peter Bjorn & John – Dig A Little Deeper

It’s been nearly 2 years now since PB&J released, in my opinion, one of the best albums of 2009. The new album sounds very promising with enjoyable listens like Dig A Little Deeper and Second Chance. This song is no Young Folks but who’s to say the album isn’t hiding something that’s as catchy and memorable. I have high hopes for Gimme Some which will be out the 29th of this month.
